netdash Proxies for Chrome
A Chrome extension that switches your browser between netdash proxies: pick the plan, the exit country and rotating or sticky sessions, keep chosen hosts direct and check the exit IP. Your proxy list and settings stay in this browser. Version 2.0.1, for Chrome 116 or later.
What the extension does
Country and session
Choose the plan, the exit country and the gateway, then rotating or sticky with the dashboard’s session lifetimes: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 12 hours or 7 days. The extension builds the username for you.
Paste a proxy list
Paste a list exported from the dashboard, one proxy per line as
http://user:pass@host:port,host:port:user:passoruser:pass:host:port, and switch between the entries. No sign-in prompts
Chrome doesn’t use credentials written into its proxy settings. The extension answers the gateway’s request for them with your proxy username and password, so pages load without a prompt.
Direct hosts and blocked sites
Hosts on the direct list skip the proxy: a domain with its subdomains,
*.example.com, an IP or a range such as10.0.0.0/8. Sites on the blocked list don’t open while the extension is on.Exit IP check
Check exit IP asks ipinfo.io through the active route, only when you press the button, and shows the IP, location, network and timezone.
Switching settings
Stops WebRTC from showing your own IP while a proxy is on. Optionally reloads the tab, shows a notification or clears browsing data each time you switch.
Install it in Chrome
The download is a zip that you load as an unpacked extension. It needs Chrome 116 or later.
Step 1: Download and unzip
Download
netdash-extension.zipand unzip it. Chrome loads the extension from that folder, so keep it where it is.Step 2: Turn on Developer mode
Open
chrome://extensionsin a new tab, or choose Manage Extensions in the Extensions menu, and turn on Developer mode.Step 3: Load unpacked
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder, the one that contains
manifest.json.Step 4: Pin it and connect
Pin netdash Proxies from the Extensions menu and open it. Add your proxy username and password from the dashboard (not your sign-in password), pick a country and connect.
Where to find your credentials
Your data stays in the browser
The extension stores your proxy list and settings in Chrome’s local storage on your device. It has no sign-in of its own, and netdash doesn’t receive that data through the extension. The only request it makes for itself is the exit IP check to ipinfo.io, when you press the button.
Pages you open while a proxy is on go through the netdash gateway and count against that plan’s GB balance, like any other proxied request. The privacy policy has the details.
To update, download the new zip, unzip it over the same folder and click the reload icon on the extension’s card in chrome://extensions.
