Country targeting
Choose the exit country with -cc- and an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code in the username, for example USERNAME-cc-DE. Targeting is country-level.

Proxy country targeting on netdash is part of the username: -cc- followed by a two-letter country code sets the country your requests exit from. The same parameter works for rotating and sticky sessions, on every residential plan and on Mobile.
Proxy country targeting with the -cc- parameter
Every username includes -cc- and a country code, also for rotating sessions. These three requests exit in the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom:
curl --max-time 30 -x "http://USERNAME-cc-US:PASSWORD@scale-us.netdash.io:2000" "https://api.ipify.org?format=json"
curl --max-time 30 -x "http://USERNAME-cc-DE:PASSWORD@scale-eu.netdash.io:2000" "https://api.ipify.org?format=json"
curl --max-time 30 -x "http://USERNAME-cc-GB:PASSWORD@scale-eu.netdash.io:2000" "https://api.ipify.org?format=json"In a sticky session, the country code comes first and the session parameters follow: USERNAME-cc-DE-session-a1b2c3d4-ttl-30. Changing the country means changing the username, so start a new session ID when you switch countries in a sticky flow.
Country codes
Write the country as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code in uppercase: US for the United States, DE for Germany.
Use GB, not UK.
The ISO code for the United Kingdom is GB, and that is what netdash expects in -cc-GB. The dashboard generator converts UK to GB for you; in your own code, do the same before you build the username. Codes for other countries are listed in the ISO 3166 country codes standard.
Choose the gateway
Each plan has a gateway for the Americas (-us) and one for Europe (-eu), on the same port. Use -us for exits in the Americas and -eu for exits in Europe:
| Exit country | Code | Gateway (Scale plan) |
|---|---|---|
| United States | US | scale-us.netdash.io:2000 |
| Germany | DE | scale-eu.netdash.io:2000 |
| United Kingdom | GB | scale-eu.netdash.io:2000 |
For exits in Africa and Asia, the -eu gateway has lower latency; for an exit country in Oceania, ask support which gateway to use. The proxy format reference lists the hosts and ports of every plan.
Which countries are available
Pick an exit country with its ISO code. Contact support to confirm availability for a specific country, especially before you plan a project around it.
Before you rely on a country
Send a test request with that country code and check the exit IP, or ask support to confirm availability for your plan.
The proxy locations page shows the two gateway regions and the fixed locations of the static ISP and datacenter IPs.
Proxy locationsMobile, ISP and datacenter
Mobile proxies use the same -cc- parameter on the mobile gateway:
curl --max-time 30 -x "http://USERNAME-cc-GB:PASSWORD@mobile-eu.netdash.io:4000" "https://api.ipify.org?format=json"On mobile, the country is the only thing you choose: carrier, city and network generation can't be selected.
Static ISP and datacenter IPs take no -cc- parameter. You choose the location when you order, and each IP stays assigned to you for as long as the subscription renews. ISP IPs are in Ashburn (United States), Frankfurt (Germany), London (United Kingdom) and Sydney (Australia); datacenter IPs are in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Self-serve checkout for both is paused, so contact sales about ISP or datacenter availability.
What isn't supported
Targeting is country-level. You can't select a city, a state or region, a ZIP code, an ASN or a carrier, and parameters other than -cc-, -session- and -ttl- aren't part of the username syntax.
If your work depends on a specific city or network, test whether country-level exits give you what you need before you buy a larger amount.
Check the exit country
Request https://api.ipify.org?format=json through the proxy to see the exit IP, then look that IP up in the geolocation source that matters to you, ideally the one the website itself uses. Geolocation databases can disagree about the country of an IP, so two services may place the same exit IP differently. When a website shows content for the wrong country, also check that your client doesn't send language or location hints of its own, such as a stored cookie or an Accept-Language header from a different locale.
For workflows built on the exit country, see localization and QA testing and SEO monitoring.
