Privacy Policy — netdash Proxies (Chrome Extension)

This policy describes how the netdash Proxies browser extension ("Extension") handles information. The Extension is published by netdash and operates entirely as a client inside your browser.

What the Extension stores locally

The Extension uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) only on your device. Stored data may include:

• Your proxy list (including host, port, and optional username/password or labels you enter)
• Settings (e.g. protocol type, bypass list, block list, toggles such as reload on switch, clear-on-switch options, WebRTC preference)
• Optional cached metadata about proxy hosts (e.g. from lookups) to improve labels in the UI
• An optional ipinfo.io API token if you previously saved one (the in-extension token field may have been removed in newer versions; any legacy value remains local)

We do not operate a login inside this Extension and we do not receive this storage data on netdash servers through the Extension itself.

Network requests to third parties

ipinfo.io (optional, user-initiated)

When you use the connection / IP check feature, the Extension requests public IP and related fields from ipinfo.io over HTTPS.

• When: Only when you trigger that check (not continuous background tracking).
• What is sent: Your requests go to ipinfo's service as part of a normal HTTPS lookup; if you have configured an ipinfo token locally, it may be sent as a query parameter per ipinfo's API rules.
• Purpose: To show you egress IP, country, ISP, and similar fields in the popup.

ipinfo's handling of data is governed by ipinfo.io's own policies. We do not control their infrastructure.

Shop link

The Extension may link to app.netdash.io in the UI. Opening that link is a normal website visit; it is not automatic tracking by the Extension.

Data we do not sell or use for ads

We do not sell your data. We do not use Extension data to run advertising profiles. We do not transfer Extension local storage to third parties for marketing.

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Extension.

Changes

We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The "Last updated" date will be revised.
